Learning with Us
Rutland County Museum is a fantastic space for learning outside the classroom.
Whatever topic your class is studying our museum staff can help bring it to life. Whether you want to come along to a facilitated session run by our staff or come along for your own visit we’ll try and make your visit as fun, exciting and beneficial as possible, whilst making sure it runs smoothly.

A minimal charge of £1 per child applies for all workshop sessions (excluding World War One which continues to be free).
How can I find out more?
Where are sessions held? Our museum has some great learning spaces throughout the museum as well as our education room which has space for coats and bags and can accommodate up to 30 children at any one time.
Toilets All toilets are on the ground floor and are fully accessible
Disability Access The museum has wheelchair access with a lift to the balcony floor. For safety purposes please let us know in advance if anyone in your group cannot use the stairs.
Photographs You are welcome to take photos of your class activities in the museum. We ask that photography permission is sought before the visit and that the museum Heritage & Learning Officer is made aware of any child without permission.
