Rutland County Museum is very pleased to announce that we are now an official collection point for recycling crisp packets!
So please bring all your empty crisp packets to us instead of throwing them in the bin. We will send them off to those lovely people at TerraCycle who will separate them into plastic type, clean them, and turn them into plastic pellets to make new recycled products.
We accept any type of packet including multipack outer packaging, but please don’t fold the crisp packets into triangles.
But that’s not all!
For every 2kg of crisp packets we send to them TerraCycle will make a donation to the Friends of Rutland County Museum & Oakham Castle.
So please pass on this fantastic news and let’s get recycling those crisp packets!
