CLOSED on Bank Holidays – Including Good Friday

Sun 31, Mon 1 Jan, Tues 2 Jan : Closed
Weds 3 Jan : Normal hours resume
We accept both card and cash payments at our shop and entrance donation box. Donations go direct to the Friends of Rutland County Museum & Oakham Castle donation. The Friends are very grateful for your support which in turn helps to support the Museum and Castle.
Lift and Balcony Displays
Our lift which gives access to the balcony may be used by those with mobility issues. Please see the member of our team who can assist you.
Accessibility
The museum is fully wheelchair accessible, with semi-automatic front doors.
A wheelchair is available to borrow on request.
A hearing loop is fitted in the Museum Entrance Gallery and in the Colonel Noel Suite.
Guide dogs are welcome.

Parking
Car parking (‘Pay & Display’) is available outside the Museum. Five spaces are reserved specifically for museum visitors during Museum opening hours. Free parking for blue badge holders is available directly outside the Museum entrance.
